Atlanta, Georgia — Republicans gathering at county party conventions across the state of Georgia today called on David Ralston to resign his position as Georgia House Speaker.
County Republican parties in at least Cobb, Cherokee, Coweta, Camden, Gwinnett, Pierce, DeKalb, Fayette, Rabun and Lowndes passed resolutions unanimously calling on the scandal-ridden Georgia Speaker of the House to resign.
One activist, Attorney Catherine Bernard, explained her reasoning.
“We think he should resign his position, based on his failure to timely represent criminal defense clients and permit the orderly administration of justice.”
