Chicago, IL — When the average American thinks ‘gun violence’ in a big city, they often think of hot summer weekends. More specifically, gun violence spikes in the big, Democrat controlled cities during long holiday weekends like the 4th of July, Father’s Day, and Memorial Day.
But in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago, 2020 has been a “suns out, guns out” fiasco — a fiasco that’s devolved into a long, city-wide gun battle.
Terrible Tuesday
For instance, the Windy City saw 17 people shot in a single, average, boring Tuesday yesterday. The Chicago Tribune reported:
Fifteen people were shot Tuesday in Chicago, including a man who was killed in Washington Heights on the South Side. Officers found the 42-year-old unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head about 2:30 p.m. in the 9300 block of South Halsted Street, Chicago police said. He died at the scene.
A 16-year-old boy was among two people shot in West Garfield Park on the West Side.
He and a 23-year-old man were on the sidewalk about 5:40 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Gladys Avenue when someone in a vehicle fired shots, police said.
The teen was struck in the groin and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said. The man was hit in the thigh and listed in good condition at Stroger Hospital.
In the day’s latest reported shooting, a woman was grazed during an argument in Woodlawn on the South Side.
And so it continues!
That’s after Monday saw 20 people shot and two people killed! And Bloody Monday’s 20 and Tuesday’s 17 came on the heels of a weekend that saw more than 50 people shot in Chicago. Of those 50, at least five have died.
That’s 87 people shot in four days!
Bodies Are Stacking Up In Gun-Controlled, Democrat Chicago.
Mayor Lori Lightfoot is convinced that it’s not a problem with the people in her city, or the floodgates of crime that opened once the left began the cry to “defund the police!”
No, it’s Indiana. And darn Michigan. Those duck hunters and farmers in Michigan are just filling the streets of Chicago with guns, of course!
Lightfoot continually blames ‘out of state gun traffickers‘ for the crime on her streets. Except that it’s been proven that the majority of guns on being used to commit crimes in Chicago aren’t coming from out of state. They’re from right there in Illinois.
Guns Aren’t The Problem
In case there’s anyone left on the planet that still pays attention to Fake News like CNN or MSN or the other radical left media outlets, gun owners need to call them out. Gun owners need to keep jabbing a finger into the open wound that is the failure of their beloved gun control.
These big leftist cities — with staggeringly high crime rates — already have most of the gun control that the left wants to pass for every American. It’s just not working in those cities because it FAILS EVERY SINGLE TIME.
An American is in far less danger of being shot if they go to a city with NO gun control laws than if they dared to walk the streets of Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, or any of these other Democrat cities.
