WATCH: Man Knocks Over Woman On Subway Platform, Attempts to RAPE Her In Front Of Crowd Of People — DeBlasio’s NYC Crime Continues To Surge

New York City, NY — A sexual predator was walking the streets of New York Saturday morning at 11:00 am when he attacked a woman and attempted to rape her.  The NYPD reported using facial recognition software to identify the man who was arrested within two hours.

The woman was not alone — as evidenced from multiple cell phone cameras catching the incident — when police say Jose Reyes came up to her on an Upper East Side subway platform and knocked her to the ground.

That’s when he climbed on top of the 25-year-old woman and attempted to rape her.  Police say Reyes only stopped when a Good Samaritan intervened and began filming the attacker.

Watch the terrible event here:

The woman had never met Reyes before, but police say she caught his notice while riding an F train.

“He appeared to be smoking some type of hookah and started making weird noises and laughing to himself,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison said of the attempted rapist.

Unnerved by the man sharing the train with her, the young woman got off at the Lexington Ave. and E. 63rd St. stop.  But the disgusting freak followed her off the train and soon after, knocked her to the ground.

“Mr. Reyes gestured in a [lewd] motion towards her, and the [victim], in an attempt to avoid him, moved in a different direction.” Mr Reyes follows her, which resulted in him assaulting her, punching her, pushing her to the ground, climbing on top of her and attempting to spread her legs.”

Reyes initially fled the subway platform, but he didn’t get far.  Detectives with the 23rd Precinct arrested Reyes at 12:29pm at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and East 105th Street in East Harlem.  Reyes is now charged with attempted rape, assault and harassment.

New York Continues To Implode

We’ve reported multiple times about the staggering increase in crime in nearly every single Democrat controlled city — and New York City is near the top of that list.

So far this year, the city has seen 280 homicides – a 35 per cent increase from 208 homicides that were recorded during the same period of 2019.  Meanwhile, in July alone, murders were up 58.8 percent when compared to the same month last year.

Shootings — including non-fatal results — were up a staggering 177 per cent!

This is the colossal failure of gun control combined with leftist social policies.  And lest our readers forget: New York’s governor Andrew Cuomo and his leftist friends had already passed a law releasing thousands of criminals back onto the streets before any of us had heard the word ‘Corona.’

Leftist policies lead to these sorts of incidents becoming more and more common — until they eventually don’t even make the news any more.

Keep Your Head Up — And Be On The Lookout

Gun owners, you know the drill: carry every day.  And take a bit of time to ensure the ladies in your life are not only carrying, but are working on situational awareness every time they leave the house.  These are crazy times!
