Chicago: 82 People Shot, 19 Killed During Deadliest Weekend of 2020

Chicago, IL — Social unrest and protests about the unjust death of George Floyd at the hands of police caused the deaths of more than a dozen black men in Chicago over the weekend.

Violent protests on Saturday night spilled over into Sunday, when more than half of the victims were shot.   The city saw hundreds of arrests during the weekend.  The rioting continued through the night despite a city-wide curfew.

David Brown, Chicago Police Superintendent, said that 17 of the 19 homicides happened on Sunday.  These numbers are significantly higher than this weekend last year, when only 52 people were shot and 8 killed.

We would normally give a rundown of the various circumstances, the ages of the victims or anything noteworthy about how they died.  But there are just too many to cover.

From an 18-year-old girl shot in the head to at least a half a dozen people being shot by people in vehicles, it’s just horrific from start to finish.

EVERY American Has The Right To Defend Themselves

Watching the widespread rioting and looting has made it clear that Americans need the Second Amendment more than ever.  EVERY American has the right to carry a gun to defend themselves, but the radical left wants to take that away from us!

They cause hatred and division when they can, and when that’s not working, they use fear and emotion to scare people into banning guns.

But the dangerous reality many Americans have faced in the last ten days — not to mention the social instability during the Corona scare — has gun owners more convinced than ever that giving up their guns is NOT an option.

And with gun sales soaring, we don’t think that’s going to change any time soon.
