Chuck Schumer Says That Law-Abiding, Licensed Firearms Dealers Are “Evil” — And So Are Ghost Guns!

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Shumer (D. NY) held a press conference about gun control on Monday where he lambasted the existence of ‘ghost guns’ and went on to say that Americans tens of thousands of licensed, regulated, law-abiding firearms dealers are “evil.”

In his comments, Schumer said, “…the evil gun dealers, pushed by the NRA, have used gun shows as a major way to get guns into the hands of people without a background check.”

Of course, Schumer knows that he is misrepresenting the current laws to a largely ignorant audience: the leftist establishment media who were ‘reporting’ on his press conference.

In reality, every single commercial sale of every single firearms — in a brick-and-mortar store, at a gun show or initiated online — has to be completed in a face-to-face-transfer with the required background check forms and verification from the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System.

Obviously, Schumer is banking on his audience’s ignorance and prejudice.  We can’t read his mind, but it sure seems like he wants to channel anger at ‘evil’ gun sellers who are actually anything but evil by telling about five percent of the truth.

But Schumer wasn’t done.

While insulting law abiding gun store owners, Schumer went on to talk about home-built firearms, or what the media likes to call “ghost guns.”

Schumer said, “They’re as easy to buy and easier to assemble than Legos.”

The Lies Just Keep Coming

First of all, this author would like to think that his five-year-old son might be able to use a drill press, rotary power tools, metal files and other hand tools such as hammers and screwdrivers, but we highly doubt anybody who has ever built an 80% kit would agree with the comparison Schumer made.

But most importantly, Legos don’t fall under the 1934 National Firearms Act, the 1968 Gun Control Act and the 1988 Undetectable Firearms Act to ensure the Legos meet the required specifications, including the 3.7 ounces of metal that must be part of the overall design.

Of course, once again, he’s banking on the fact that nobody in the establishment media would have ordered such a kit, much less tried to assemble one.

And really, how could they be expected to have done that?  They don’t have time to investigate stories like that when they have riveting things to cover like Joe Biden’s first press conference!

Schumer, you’re a liar — and THAT is evil.
