Chicago, IL –Lori Lightfoot’s gun-controlled city continues to see unprecedented numbers of shootings and killings, despite nearly every gun control law the left can dream up.
This last weekend saw a staggering 50 people shot, including five fatalities. Of those, more than 40 were shot on Friday and Saturday, with four fatalities.
Breitbart reports:
The first firearm-related fatality of the weekend occurred Friday around 5:15 p.m., the second about 8:30 p.m. the same night, and the third at 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
The fourth fatality occurred about 7 p.m. Saturday and the fifth around 10:15 p.m. Saturday.
The Chicago Tribune has reported 673 people were killed in Chicago between January 1, 2020, and November 9, 2020. The Tribune also notes that a total of 3,619 people were shot in fatal and non-fatal shootings combined between January 1, 2020, and November 9, 2020.
Gun Control Kills People
All these shootings in Chicago go unchecked for two reasons.
Firstly, because violent criminals know that the odds are really good that their victims are unarmed. In addition, law-abiding citizens know that they’re a fish in a barrel if a criminal decides to randomly shoot up their car or neighborhood — the exact scenario of nearly every one of these shootings.
Secondly, the cops are outnumbered, underfunded, and likely at record-low morale. They all know that Lori Lightfoot and her crew of leftists would throw them under the bus in two seconds if they harm one of these violent criminals in the course of doing their job.
It’s a recipe for bloodshed. Anybody can see it! Anybody who isn’t blinded by their leftist ideology, that is.
