Chicago, IL — In the first weekend after the presidential election, Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago experienced unprecedented peace, as violent Trump supporters were subdued in their houses, grimly facing a four year Biden presidency. Meanwhile, the city streets were filled with happy Biden supporters, singing and dancing and paying each other’s healthcare bills!
Everybody knows that isn’t the case. It would be laughable if it weren’t so tragic.
The death toll continues to climb in the Democrat-controlled city. Chicago saw 43 people shot over the weekend following the presidential election. Five of those victims later died from their injuries.
Breitbart reported that just between Friday and Sunday morning, 25 people were shot in the Windy City.

By Monday morning, the number had grown even higher, with another dead man added to the ever-growing number for 2020.
Three of those four earliest fatalities happened Saturday, with the fourth occurring around 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
The fourth fatality came as 25-year-old Lavell Mathis was walking in a vacant lot “in the 4900 block of West Madison Street.” Another man approached him, drew a gun, and opened fire, striking Mathis multiple times. Mathis died from his wounds.
On Sunday night CBS 2 reported a fifth fatality occurred at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, when a 24-year-old man was shot in the back “in the 7800 block of South Carpenter Street in Auburn Gresham.” He was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead.
The Chicago Tribune reports that 3,560 people were shot in Chicago January 1, 2020, through November 4, 2020. The Tribune’s numbers include fatal and non-fatal shooting victims combined. They also reported 658 homicides in the 11 months between January 1, 2020, and Election Day.
Gun Control Has Failed…
…along with every other leftist policy. The citizens of Chicago, Baltimore, New York City, Philadelphia and etc are not better off with gun control and Democrat leadership.
These cities are some of the most dangerous places in America. But the left can’t admit that their ideas have failed miserably.
That’s because gun control isn’t about saving lives. It’s about disarming the American people so that nobody can stand up to tyrants in the future.
If Joe Biden is installed as president in January, he has promised to pass that same failed gun control nationwide — and for the exact same reason.
