Bloomberg’s Cash Comes To Town: Everytown Swoops Into Georgia Ahead Of Runoff Race To Control U.S. Senate

Gun owners knew it was coming.  Mike Bloomberg poured tens of millions of dollars into races all across America this election cycle and got very little to show for it on election night.  No states flipped blue, and what’s more, he didn’t even swing a single state’s House or Senate blue.

But with the two Senate runoff races in Georgia still up in the air, Bloomberg wants to make his investment pay off, after all.

Everytown for Gun Safety, a Bloomberg funded organization, has loudly endorsed the anti-gun Democrat candidate Jon Ossoff.  Ossoff faces Republican Senator David Perdue in a runoff race set for January 5th.

As gun owners across the country know, the two Senate races in Georgia were both too close to call on election night.  And while that matters to Georgians, it matters to every American because the outcome of those two races will determine which party controls the United States Senate.

If the Democrats take those two seats, the United States Senate will be divided 50 to 50 with the tie breaking vote going to the Vice President.  Of course, the left assumes that Vice President is going to be Kamala Harris.  The right can’t take the chance that they’re right.

The Left Is Mobilizing Their “Grassroots” Troops

Bloomberg’s front organizations had endorsed both Democrats before of the election, but now that the runoff is close, they’ve ‘re-endorsed’ the two radical leftists.

John Feinblatt, the president of Everyclown for Gun Safety said on November 15th:

“Everytown is proud to reaffirm our support for Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock, who are running against two gun extremists, one of whom proudly called herself more conservative than Attila the Hun.  David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler have both declared fealty to the gun lobby and opposed bipartisan gun safety measures like background checks on all gun sales. Everytown’s grassroots army is ready to do the work to send David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler packing.”

Shannon Watts, the Director of Moms Demand Action chimed in with agreement:

“Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue have shown that their allegiance is to President Trump and the corporate gun lobby instead of the Georgians they were elected to serve. “Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff will put Georgians first and fight for the safety of our families and communities. Our grassroots army of volunteers is ready to get to work to send them both to Washington.”

Finally, Bloomberg’s director of the Georgia chapter of Mom’s Demand Action joined the chorus:

“Moms Demand Action volunteers are ready to do whatever it takes to elect Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff – champions for gun safety who will fight day-in, day out to keep our families safe.  And we’re ready to send Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue packing because instead of working for Georgians, they’ve prioritized special interests like the gun lobby, pandered to extremists in their party, and catered to the views of right-wing conspiracy theorists.”

They’re Not Playing Gentleman’s Poker.  Nor Should We!

See this wording?  “Keep our families safe” and “grassroots army” and “they’ve pandered to extremists in their party” and more?

First of all, even Nancy Pelosi has realized in recent days that the extremists in the Democrat party have stolen the stage!  As usual, the left is projecting their OWN problems onto other people.  The real Democrat party is hard to find…all Americans can see are radical leftists who have taken over the party!

But aside from that — and this is the real point we hope readers caught — these leftist are not playing nice.  They’re not looking for compromise, they’re not ‘sandwiching a negative statement about gun rights between two positives’ like so many on the Right still do.

The days of playing nice with the left are over.  The radical left has ended them.  They’re out for political blood.

It’s time our Republican leadership realize this!  So many of our ‘good guys’ are still trying to do politics like it’s 1990 — where you disagree but everybody goes home friends at the end of the day.

That is NOT what the left is doing, nor how they’re training their rank-and-file party members to think.  Re-read those statements they made.  Every single word is carefully crafted to make sure their followers will NEVER compromise with the Right on guns.

Do you see gun rights organizations saying things like this about gun control?  “No compromise –ever!”  Do you see Republican leadership making statements like this at any level?

If we don’t start playing hardball — like the left is already doing — they’re going to blow our friendly, kindly, hand-wringing Republican moderates right over.
