Ammunition Manufacturers Looking At Back Orders Lasting Into 2021 — Gun Owners Facing Massive Shortages Nationwide

Ammunition manufacturers across the country are facing record backlogs of orders, and from recent reports, there’s no end in sight.

According to Bearing Arms, one such company, Ammo Incorporated is looking at back orders in the amount of $80 MILLION dollars. The Scottsdale, Arizona company isn’t promising anything, and estimates that many of those orders won’t be filled until 2021.

And that’s not for lack of trying.  The company’s CEO, Fred Wagenhals, says they’re giving it all they’ve got in comments to the media. “We’re working right now seven days a week, 24 hours a day in all the manufacturing plants.”

They’ve also added millions of dollars in expensive manufacturing equipment in an attempt to keep up with demand.  Wagenhals reported, “We just bought 2.8 million dollars worth of machinery and equipment last week to increase our production and increase our volume.”

More Ammo Than Guns

As the year wore on, more and more Americans had already purchased themselves a gun and were now looking for some ammunition to ease their fears.  Ammo sales now outpace gun sales by a decent margin.

Bearing Arms commented:

“According to the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the year has already seen a boom in gun purchases, up 95% in the first half of 2020 compared to the same time period of 2019,” the outlet notes. “But ammo sales skyrocketed even higher, up 139% compared to 2019 during that same time period.”

According to Ammo Inc.’s CEO Wagenhals, 2020 has been a perfect storm for gun owners.

“The start was the pandemic that was going on. But there was always that fear of the election. Of who’s going to be elected of the next President of the United States,” Wagenhals said. “But thirdly, I think the unrest in this country right now. And as you’ve seen in a lot of cities, the looting and the burning, and I think people are just scared.”

And no matter which party wins in November — the election is just barely 24 days away — the demand isn’t likely to taper off any time soon.

It Won’t Get Better In November

If Biden and Harris win, gun owners are looking at one of the most anti-gun tickets in American history.  Both candidates have promised to ban the AR-15, pass Universal Background Checks (UBC’s), restrict sales of handguns, and end online sales of guns and ammunition.

Gun owners are right to be aware that they’re going to be in the fight of their lives if the Democrats take the White House.

On the other hand, if President Trump is reelected to a second term, there’s no doubt that the rioting and protesting in the streets by the left’s shock troops, Antifa, will get worse before it gets better.  And nobody sleeps well at night knowing that their neighborhood could be next.
