Nancy Pelosi Uses Anniversary of Pulse Nightclub Shooting To Push For Gun Control — Ignores Rioters Still In The Streets

It’s hard to tell if Nancy Pelosi is so out of touch because she’s so far left, or because she’s so old.  Or maybe it’s because she’s so rich?

Either way, she might not know that there are still neighborhoods experiencing rioting and looting after peaceful protests over the wrongful death of George Floyd have turned not peaceful.

But after spending the week calling for police reform — think fewer cops on the streets — Nancy turned her attention on Friday to the fourth anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Florida.

Pelsoi marked the occasion by saying that the Democrat controlled House had passed the Bipartisan Background Checks Act and the Enhanced Background Checks Act to ensure universal background scrutiny.  But the Senate had not heard the bills or taken a vote on them.

Pelosi said, “The men and women murdered at Pulse were there to enjoy an evening of music, dancing and celebration in a place of safety and solidarity; they had the right to live free from the fear of gun violence and hate.

She went on to say, “Leader McConnell must listen to the will of the American people, end his partisan obstruction and finally bring H.R. 8 and H.R. 1112 up for a vote.”

She’s referencing the June 12th, 2016 shooting at an LGBTQ nightclub in Orlando, where Omar Mateen killed 49 people and injured 53 more.

She didn’t mention that in the middle of his rampage — with Americans bleeding and dying all around him — Omar Mateen made a call to 911 and pledged his support to ISIS.

She also didn’t mention that Omar Mateen was eventually shot and killed by police after they blew a hole in a wall of the bathroom, stormed the building and killed Mateen.

Then again, if she had mentioned the police, she would probably have said that the police killed a minority because they’re racists.

Joe Biden Jumps Aboard

After a week of calls to defund or even disband the police, it was almost funny to watch rich, elitist leftists flip the switch and start stumping for gun control.

After Pelosi’s comments, Presumptive Nominee Joe Biden addressed the Pulse Nightclub anniversary as well.

“Sadly, all these years later, terrorism, mass shootings, and hate crimes continue to rip apart our American communities,” the former vice president said in a statement. “Our places of worship have been attacked, Hispanics have been targeted in places like El Paso, the death toll from mass shootings continues to mount, and LGBTQ+ people, particularly transgender women of color, are disproportionately targeted by violence.”

“The inaction of Republican lawmakers to address the scourge of gun violence in America is unacceptable, and Jill and I stand with the survivors of mass shootings and all the family members of victims to support the #HonorThemWithAction campaign,” Biden concluded.

Talk About Tone Deaf

What these two rich old leftist elitists don’t realize is that while their neighborhood was never in any danger, millions of America’s neighborhoods are still on edge.  Tens of millions of Americans were less than 30 miles from these areas that saw violent riots, looting, and the burning of privately owned buildings.

Simply put: the average American in a lower-middle class neighborhood is very grateful to have his gun this week.  But for a rich old elitist like Pelosi, that’s last week’s news.

The mobs were never marching down her street.  She didn’t have to spend several hundred bucks on plywood and pray that they skipped over her small business.

When more than 2 MILLION Americans have bought a gun for the first time in their lives, maybe she should be quiet about gun control until they feel safe again?  No, the left doesn’t have that kind of humanity.

That’s why RIGHT NOW is the PERFECT time to be pushing our legislators to pass GOOD gun legislation!  Americans — Nancy Pelosi excepted — realize more than ever that they need their Second Amendment rights!

Call, email or message your legislators today — we NEED good gun bills passed and we aren’t tolerating cowardice anymore.
