“Shoot Them Dead”: Philippines President Duterte Orders Law Enforcement To Kill Citizens for Violating Corona Lockdown

While American citizens grow increasingly weary of sheltering in place while their economy goes up in smoke, things are worse in the Philippines.

After weeks of strict lockdown orders, hundreds of citizens stuck living in a slum in Manila began to riot. They claimed that they had gone more than two weeks without promised supplies from their government.  There are 57 million residents on Luzon, the largest of the countries islands, and all of those citizens are under lockdown, dependent on the government to bring supplies to them.

You can see some videos of the situation here:

And then watch President Duterte’s response to the riots later that same day:

“I will not hesitate. My orders are to the police and military, as well as village officials, if there is any trouble, or occasions where there’s violence and your lives are in danger, shoot them dead,” he said in a mix of Filipino and English in the televised address. “Do not intimidate the government. Do not challenge the government. You will lose.”

It Can’t Happen Here….Can It?

This sort of thing seems like it’s from another planet.  Threatening to kill his own citizens using the military and police force paid for by their own taxes?  Impossible!

And yet, for citizens and gun owners all over the country, events we thought were impossible are already here.

Tens of millions of American citizens are under what amounts to ‘unmonitored house arrest’.  The tyrants in Washington can’t watch 300 million people, after all.  But they do have one weapon to keep people in line: the media.

The media has whipped the population into such a frenzied panic of fear and paranoia that they have turned neighbor against neighbor.  They don’t have to watch all of us….we’re watching each other!  In a dozen states across the country there are already “snitch” hotlines if you see somebody violating the house arrest.

This isn’t our parents’ America, and it sure as hell isn’t an America that we want for our kids. And once this precedent is set, there’s no closing Pandora’s box.
