Gun owners in Virginia are doing more than vote for their counties to be Second Amendment Sanctuaries. And we love it, because it’s about freaking time they went on the offense!
Gun owners have been urged this week by pro-gun groups in Virginia to attend four budget hearing around the state. These budget meetings are being held to discuss Northam’s latest budget proposal.
Inside his proposed budget, Northam wants to allocate 4 million dollars and to create an 18-officer task force to implement his new gun control.
The Virginia Citizens Defense League sent an alert this week telling gun owners, “We understand that this is short notice. But it would have a significant impact if many of our members could show up and make a 3-minute statement and ask questions of the legislators in attendance.”
The questions they want asked at these budget meetings?
Why does Northam’s proposed budget have $4 million dollars AND ask for 18 new law-enforcement positions to enforce a gun ban?
Will these $4 Million dollars go to fund this gun-control task force? Are we funding our own gun confiscation?
How Dumb Does He Think We Are?
Northam isn’t saying, but it seems obvious to gun owners that he expects them to pick up the bill for the new Democrats leftist gun confiscation plans.
That’s like when your parents told you to go outside and pick a switch from the tree for your own spanking.
Except gun owners haven’t done a damn thing wrong and Northam is the one who needs taking to the proverbial woodshed.
Virginia is a Lesson to Us All
Virginia, you’re doing a darn fine job fighting back. Now that 91% of the Counties and Municipalities that can have voted themselves Sanctuaries, they can’t hide behind their rhetoric that this is ‘what the people want.’
On the other hand, the events in Virginia are a warning flag to every other state. THIS is what apathy and ‘good old boy’ Republicans will get you. One minute “Oh, gun friendly Gus” won’t let that happen!” And the next you wake up and you’re surrounded and outnumbered at the Capital…and your kids might live in Califor-ginia.
