New Bill Filed in Virginia Would Make it a Felony to Own a “High Capacity” Mag

Richmond, VA—When they’re the majority, the radical left goes for broke at a hundred miles an hour.  That’s the case with Delegate Mark H. Levine, a Virginia Democrat who has been in office since 2015.

But now that there’s political cover in Virginia’s new Democrat majority, Levine hit the gas pedal on his anti-gun ideas.

Levine pre-filed a bill on January 7th, H.B. 961, which would make it a felony for a citizen of Virginia to even possess a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds of ammo.  As usual, they don’t stop there.

Levine’s bill would even make it a felony to own a magazine that has a ‘removable plate’ that would make it possible for the gun owner to expand the capacity.

What about the hundreds of thousands of ‘high capacity’ magazines already legally owned by Virginians?   Levine gives four options:

  1. Drill a hole through it or otherwise make it inoperable.
  2. Store the magazine outside of the state of Virginia.
  3. Send or sell the magazine to somebody in another state that is legally allowed to own that kind of magazine.
  4. Surrender it to authorities in the State of Virginia.

Talk about doubling down!

Wake Up And Go on the Offense

Folks, if you live in Virginia, the time is now.  If you live in any other state (except possibly places like California or New York, where you’re already in a defensive war for your gun rights) take note of this.

The Democrats didn’t just wake up one day and decide to go after our guns.  They have always wanted to.  We have always known it.  But they’ve come out into the daylight with their tyrannical ideas.  And this only came after Virginia’s gun owners got complacent.  They didn’t hold their politicians’ feet to the fire, and now they’re paying the price.

FIGHT NOW!  These bills only get filed when the legislators aren’t afraid of gun owners anymore.   We don’t need Second Amendment Sanctuaries if the politicians  are too afraid of the heat that gun owners will put on them to even file a bad bill like this!
