New Footage: Woman Holding Gun and Baby Terrorizes San Diego Church on Easter Sunday

San Deigo, CA — Police recently released footage from inside a San Diego are church that was captured on Easter Sunday.

In the video, a woman is seen holding her baby and threatening the congregation with a handgun.

Back in May, Police arrested Anna Conkey, 31, after she walked into the Tsidkenu Church in Clairmont and pointed a gun around at the people gathered for Easter services.

Several parishioners reported that Conkey even pointed the gun at her 10-month-old baby during her standoff.

The altercation ended just after she pointed the gun at her baby.

An older man in the congregation used her distraction to grab the gun from her.

“One of the older gentlemen grabbed it from her and then me and a couple of other men tackled her,” said David Michael Miller, a serviceman who was attending services and helped subdue the woman.

Miller continued, “”We got the baby away from her. A few minutes after that, the cops came in. She was trying to run away or something so a cop tackled her through a row of chairs. They arrested her and pulled another gun out of her bra.”

Neither she nor the baby were hurt, and nor was anybody in the congregation.

The guns were later found to be empty.

Police released the video during Conkey’s trial this week.

A Caring But Unarmed Shepherd

Pastor Ben Weisen was called to the stand during the trail and he testified that Conkey had pointed the gun at the congregation multiple times.

In the video, Weisen can be heard trying to calm down the congregation, saying that the gun wasn’t real.

He repeatedly said to the congregation, “”Just get down and pray, get down and pray.”   Speaking to Conkey, Weisen said, “You gotta put that down. Police are gonna come in really hot, and they don’t know it’s a Taser. You gotta put it down right now.”

Anna Conkey has since pled guilty to multiple felony counts, including child abuse and making a false bomb report.

The last several years have sadly shown that you should carry even in church.

If your church won’t let you, find another one that cares as much about your safety as they do about your soul.
