San Antonio, Texas – A man is in stable condition after being shot in the shoulder by his ex-girlfriend.
The 20-year-old man was attempting to break into the woman’s home through a window, and that’s when she went to grab the gun.
She brandished the weapon and pointed it at him, but he reached through the window and tried to grab the firearm itself.
The woman was able to pull back and shoot the man in the shoulder before calling the police.
KSAT cites the woman saying that she did not know the man was her boyfriend at the time of the break-in.
When she fired her gun at him, she was unaware who was actually trying to enter her home.
The government was not there in the moment to protect the armed woman, and she made a responsible decision to protect her own life.
Citizens need to follow her example and be prepared to use a firearm in the scenario that their life is threatened.
