WATCH: Philadelphia Mayor Calls for Gun Control After Shootout With Career Criminal

Philadelphia, PA — What is it about politicians who don’t understand career violent criminals will always get guns?

They will always commit their crimes no matter what gun control laws are passed.

Yesterday in Philadelphia, the nation watched as career criminal Maurice Hill shot multiple police officers as they arrived for a narcotics arrest.

Shortly thereafter, the Mayor of Philadelphia, Jim Kenney, spoke to reporters.

The video below shows him calling for gun control.

Does Mr. Kenney believe that Mr. Hill would care about gun control?  The answer to that is simple: NO.

CNN described Mr. Hill like this:

“Public court records show Hill has a 12-page criminal record with a variety of charges, including burglary, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment of another person and gun charges. Not all of the charges resulted in a conviction.

Hill, 36, also has a record in the federal system, Krasner said, adding that he has not seen it for himself. ‘But I have been advised that the record in the federal system includes a lengthy prison sentence in federal prison for weapons,’ he said.

‘I think it’s clear this man should not have been on the streets,’ Krasner said.”
