Washington, DC — News broke this morning that Kamala Harris has financial ties to the Jeffrey Epstein case.
Out of one side of her mouth, Harris called for senior Justice Department officials to recuse themselves on anything dealing with Jeffery Epstein.
But that SAME DAY, her own husband, Doug Emhoff, headlined a high-dollar fundraising dinner that was hosted by six partners of Kirkland and Ellis, the same law firm that had defended Epstein and negotiated his plea deal over a decade ago.
Harris is calling for government officials connected to the Epstein case to step down because their involvement “calls into question the integrity of our legal system.”
But then she has close, current financial ties to the same law firm that convinced those government officials to go easy on Epstein a decade ago!
Philip S. Ryan, an attorney for the good-government group Common Cause addressed the issue:
“If any connection with Kirkland and Ellis is a stain on (senior Justice Department officials), why isn’t a connection with the law firm for the receipt of campaign contributions a stain on her own campaign?” said Paul S. Ryan, an attorney for the good-government group Common Cause.
Once her hypocrisy became public knowledge, Harris’s team was quick to say the current financial connection was no big deal.
Their claim was that the six specific Kirkland and Ellis lawyers who were at the high-dollar fundraiser didn’t work on Epstein’s plea deal, so there’s no conflict there at all!
What a joke!
The feigned moral outrage of the anti-gun left only convinces other leftists.
They cry on camera about saving kids from gun violence, while never addressing the criminal element of society who would use guns to hurt innocent people.
The talk about ending corruption and elitism in politics and while sitting down to $600/plate dinners with some of the most corrupt of the land.
They don’t actually care about anything except amassing more power for themselves off the backs of America’s gun owners, taxpayers, or any other group they can step on to get to the top.
Like all the others, Kamala is a tyrant in waiting.
Her moral compass is so broke, she couldn’t find her car in a parking lot.
