Homeowner holds intruder at gunpoint

Sharpsburg, Georgia — Let this story be a lesson to all Americans, never leave your car or truck unlocked, especially with a garage door opener inside.

That’s how Tracey Lynette Faircloth broke into a home in Sharpsburg, Georgia, presumably to steal from the homeowner, or possibly even call him harm.

Thanks to a quick-thinking homeowner, Faircloth didn’t get too far.

Officers who responded to the 911 call found the unnamed homeowner pointing his gun at Ms. Faircloth, who he detained on the front porch.

A Sharpsburg woman is charged with burglary after a homeowner held her at gunpoint.

A homeowner on Clearview Estates Drive told police he was awoken Thursday morning by his dog barking and noticed the interior light in his truck was on. While officers were responding to the call, the suspect, identified as Tracey Lynette Faircloth, 44, reportedly entered the residence.

The homeowner detained Faircloth in a chair on his front porch until police arrived, according to the police report.

Investigators said Faircloth used a garage door opener from inside the truck to enter the home, but nothing was found missing from the truck or the home.

Georgia is facing a show down battle this November at the polls, with the Second Amendment rights of Georgians on the line.

Stacey Abrams, otherwise known as “Socialist Stacey Abrams” is the Democrat candidate for Governor in Georgia.

In 2016, she cosponsored legislation that would order the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to “seize” and “destroy” ammo, magazines, and firearms owned by millions of Georgians.

If she were to get her way, this homeowner who held the home invader at gun point on the front porch, may not be able to legally possess his firearm and magazines he used to protect his home.
