Major League Baseball star J.D. Martinez has triggered the sports world and left-wingers across the nation.
Liberals exploded in anger when they found a five year old Instagram post from Martinez with a picture of Hitler and the quote: “To conquer a nation, first disarm its citizens”.
He also commented on the post with this statement: “This is why I always stay strapped”.

Defending his post and refusing to back down, the Red Sox slugger had this to say about the Second Amendment yesterday:
“I love my country. I stand by the Constitution and I stand by the second amendment. It’s something I take pride in and it’s something I’ll back up.”
“As most of you guys know I’m Cuban-American, and most of my family was run out of Cuba because of a brutal dictator. It’s terrible. It’s one of those things where I’ll never get to meet some of my family because of it.”
“It was one of those things where I was really touched at the time. I saw it and I posted it. I had no intent to offend anyone. It was mostly just to state a point — a political point at the time.”

“Everybody has a right to stand by what they believe in and that’s what makes us American. We’re not all going to believe in the same things, but that’s what makes this country so great.”
Calling it a “social media scandal.” The New York Daily News fist broke the story with a piece designed to trigger gun-grabbers and force Martinez to to pull back on it:
J.D. Martinez is standing by his Hitler Instagram post, maintaining that he was defending the second amendment.
The Red Sox slugger spoke to the media on Tuesday, according to multiple reports, responding to his social media post from 2013 with the quote, “To conquer a nation, first disarm it’s (sic) citizens” overlaid on a picture of Hitler. Martinez had captioned the photo “This is why I always stay strapped! #thetruth.”

J.D. Martinez is one of the best players in all of Major League Baseball, leading the league in hits, RBIs, batting average, and slugging percentage, while leading the Red Sox to the best record in the Major Leagues.
He also happens to make $23 million this year in salary.
So hopefully he tells all the gun-grabbers to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine, and never backs down.
