BOOM! 68-year-old woman shoots home invader

Thanks to a .22 caliber handgun, a 68-year-old woman lives to see another day.

On a typical Friday evening, a homeowner heard some noises from her storage unit when arriving home for the day.

That’s when she took it upon herself and investigated to see what the commotion was about.

Upon opening the storage door, a criminal lunged toward her looking to do her harm.

She then did what ever gun owner would do.

The Robesonian writes,

Sheriff’s deputies and Major Crimes investigators responded about 6:40 p.m. Friday to a call about a person shot at a residence on the 5000 block of East Great Marsh Church Road in St. Pauls, Sheriff’s Office Maj. Anthony Thompson said. They found James Dority, 39, of Broadwell Road in St. Pauls, had been shot several times by the homeowner. Dority was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment of injuries that did not appear to be life threatening.

The 68-year-old homeowner told investigators that when she arrived home she heard a noise coming from inside of her storage building, Thompson said. She walked out to the building, opened the door and found Dority inside standing in a corner.

The homeowner told investigators that “he was lunging toward her” in an aggressive manner, which prompted her to open fire, shooting Dority five times,

It was later found out that this thug had an extensive criminal history with burglary, drug possession and much more.

He is alive, and currently resides in a hospital recovering from his five gunshot wounds.

I sure wouldn’t want to mess with this elderly woman, who clearly knows how to exercise her Second Amendment rights.
