(Harris County, Texas) – The expression “Don’t Mess With Texas” was explained very clearly for two armed home invasion suspects, who entered a home in this Texas county through an open garage door.
Seeing the armed men come into her home, the 60-yr-old female resident immediately opened fire on the two causing them to retreat. One suspect died on the front yard of the residence and police later recovered his weapon next to his body.
The other suspect fled the scene, possible wounded.
Next door neighbor Cathy Hanks wasn’t surprised that the two were met with gunfire from the homeowner. “It’s the state of Texas. If you’re going to go into someone’s home, you’re going to get shot,” Hanks said.
The homeowner was not injured in the incident and police are still searching for the other suspect. No charges are expected against the woman.
