(Clarksburg, WV) – When 24-year-old Austin Lodge walked into the Sutton Inn on Emily Drive at around two in the morning demanding money from the clerk, the outcome was not as he expected.
That’s because the clerk at the hotel pulled his concealed firearm and aimed it squarely at Lodge, who fled the scene on foot without receiving anything from the hotel.
The clerk was also able to provide a detailed description to the authorities who were able to locate and arrest Lodge at a nearby Sleep Inn hotel. Lodge is facing felony charges including first-degree robbery.
