68-Year-Old Defends Himself After Shooting Attack

(New Orleans, LA) — After a Sunday argument in the 1200 block of Spain Street, 54-year-old Cornell Brown drew a pistol and attempted to shoot a 68-year-old man.

But according to the NOPD, the would-be victim drew a pistol of his own and opened fire first, striking the suspect in the right forearm, ending the assault.

Brown was taken to a local hospital for treatment and will be charged with aggravated assault when he is released.

According to NOLA newspaper, no charges are expected to be filed against the victim.
